Job Title: Inpatient Dialysis Tech
Department: Dialysis - Inpatient
Location: Unity
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
Schedule: Monday - Saturday 6:30AM - 5PM, 2 Saturdays a month

SUMMARY:
As a Dialysis Tech, your attention to detail and kind, patient focused attitude while administering dialysis is crucial to sustaining the lives of our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up dialysis treatment equipment per orders
• Dismantles, cleans and disinfects dialysis machine.
• Ensures dialysis machine is in proper working condition.
• Maintains a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
• Maintains the water room in accordance with established policies.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35lbs, stand, stoop, obtain objects stored at higher levels, and full range of motion.
• Understand and follow applicable policies and procedures.
• Completes unit based clinical competency education requirements.
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• None.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year of healthcare or hospital experience preferred
• Strong customer service, computer, and communication skills

EDUCATION:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
