Position Profile
The RISE Program Coordinator (Respite in Student Engagement) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the RISE program, which matches ASU students with persons living with dementia to provide meaningful engagement for the individual and respite for family caregivers. The person living with dementia may reside independently, with family, or in a residential facility. This role manages all aspects of the program, including recruitment, screening, training, and support of participating students; recruitment and screening of families; matching students with families; and providing ongoing education and support. The Program Coordinator ensures safe environments for participation, accompanies students on introductory visits when needed, oversees program evaluation, supports program growth, and ensures compliance with grant requirements.
