Codexis is a leading enzyme engineering company leveraging its proprietary CodeEvolver technology platform. The Company is developing its ECO Synthesis platform to enable the scaled manufacture of RNAi therapeutics through an enzymatic route. Codexis enzymes drive improvements such as higher yields, reduced energy usage and waste generation, and improved manufacturing efficiency with applications in genomic and diagnostic fields.
About the Opportunity
The Director, Investor Relations will support and execute Codexis’ investor relations strategy. This role will help strengthen relationships with the investor community, broaden the investor base, and enhance communications with external stakeholders. The person in this role will work closely with the CFO, CEO, senior leadership, and internal teams to provide guidance on market trends, contribute to strategic investor outreach, and manage external communications that highlight Codexis’ growth trajectory and innovation. A skilled communicator who can tell Codexis’ story to create a strong connection with the investor community is essential.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with the CFO, CEO, senior leadership, and internal functions to craft clear and consistent messaging for various platforms, tailored to specific audiences
Support and execute the investor relations strategy, including relationship management and outreach to external stakeholders
Collaborate on market trend analysis and communication materials that highlight Codexis’ growth and scientific / clinical developments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in investor relations within a publicly traded biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, or relevant experience in capital markets, buy / sell-side roles, or investor relations consulting for life sciences clients
Strong knowledge of capital markets, financial statements, and valuation models
Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology industry preferred
Proven ability to present complex scientific and clinical data to diverse audiences
Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to articulate Codexis’ story for investors
Familiarity with SEC and FDA regulations governing investor and external communications
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to create investor materials and financial models
Ability to build relationships with senior management, investors, and external stakeholders
Compensation and Benefits
CODEXIS PAY TRANSPARENCY : The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Redwood City is $170,000 to $210,000. The final salary offered will depend on experience, education, and other factors. Codexis is a multi-state employer; some states may have different salary ranges.
