Job Description
A prestigious financial institution is seeking a bilingual Japanese-speaking Head of Tax and Accounting (SVP level) based in New York, NY.
The company has branch offices, affiliates, and subsidiaries in over 20 states across North America. This position is responsible for managing federal and multi-state tax filings, including consolidation.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Planning and managing consolidated federal income tax filings for U.S. subsidiaries
- Overseeing tax operations for affiliated companies across North America
- Calculating consolidated taxes for subsidiaries in multiple states
- Supervising and providing guidance to accounting staff and the VP
- Reviewing tax provision calculations
- Conducting tax-related legal research
- Planning and advising on potential M&A strategies
Requirements
Work Schedule :
This is a hybrid position based in Midtown Manhattan, requiring 2-4 days per week in the office and 1-3 days remote.
