Summary of Position

• Perform diagnostic interpretation of surgical pathology, frozen section pathology, and / or cytology material and electronic release of cases.
• Perform gross examination of surgical tissues.
• Participate in laboratory quality control, quality assurance, and hospital infection control.
• Participate in consultation with clients regarding the significance of pathology findings, guidance on the utilization of laboratory technologies to help aid in diagnosis and treatment, and provide client follow-up.

Regional travel to hospital-based laboratories throughout the State of Texas will be required as new hospitals are onboarded.
