Look no further :   Work LOCALLY in our newly expanded Fabrication Shop in Freeport, Maine!

We are adding to our assembly team and would like to hire a Control Panel Fabricator / Technician. The ideal candidate would have some experience in the fabrication and / or maintenance of industrial controls and electromechanical systems. We are looking for someone self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for quality and craftsmanship.

AEC Engineering is a small, growing company that designs industrial controls and has been fabricating industrial control panels for over 40 years. As a custom "design / build" company, our customers come from a wide variety of industries including aquaculture, bio-tech, food & beverage, manufacturing, and water treatment. We also provide controls software engineering & automation design services, and perform service & support activities for our customers’ automation and integration needs. AEC Engineering would like to add an experienced, self-motivated, detail oriented and reliable person to our team in the role of Control Panel Fabricator or Technician (depending on level of experience).

This position is full time 40 hours per week. Start / stop times can be flexible and will be discussed upon hire. Employees in this position can expect to work four 10 hour days, while some in the office prefer working four 9 hour days and a short day Friday.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications :

• Experience in the fabrication and / or maintenance of electrical systems, industrial controls, and electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with industrial controls and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will possess the following technical skills. Not all these technical skills are required, however the more skills you can demonstrate and the more experience you have in related roles, the more successful you will be in this position, and the higher your compensation.

Compensation will be determined by the candidates ability to meet - or exceed - the requirements of the position.
