Position Overview : The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for sustaining, improving, and supporting existing bar gun products, with a strong emphasis on fluidics, reliability, and corrective actions. This role requires an engineer who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in diagnosing issues, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring long-term product performance in a manufacturing environment.
Main Responsibilities :
- Own sustaining engineering efforts with a primary focus on fluidics, reliability, and performance improvements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and fluidic issues in production and in the field; perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Design, evaluate, and implement engineering changes (ECOs) to improve product durability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Develop and maintain mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks, primarily for product improvements and issue resolution.
- Produce and update detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to reflect approved changes.
- Support manufacturing, quality, and service teams by resolving product issues and providing technical guidance.
- Analyze failure modes and trends using data from production, field returns, and quality reports.
- Ensure designs and corrective actions comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to address component performance, material selection, and manufacturing challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation, models, and design files throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on sustaining engineering and product support.Experience with CNC machining, plastic injection molding, and high-volume manufacturing.Demonstrated experience troubleshooting mechanical and fluidic systems, including valves, seals, flow paths, and pressure-related components.Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions in production and fielded products.Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and ECOs.Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Benefits :
