Temporary, Part-Time Instructor (Theater Arts)

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of a Masters or Master of Fine Arts in drama / theater arts / performance; OR 2. Possession of a Bachelors or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama / theater arts / performance. AND 3. Masters in comparative literature English communication studies speech literature or humanities. OR 4. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Theater Arts. (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1 1990). OR 5. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form. Refer to the Equivalency Procedures below. This is not a process to waive the minimum qualifications.) AND 6. Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff faculty and students.
