Senior Consultant

Job Title

Oversee cost planning, estimating, and commercial activities across project phases on large scale / complex projects.

Develop and maintain cost plans from concept through detailed design, including rate breakdowns and milestone estimates.

Guide value engineering, risk mitigation, and commercial decision-making to align with project goals and client expectations.

Manage post-contract processes including change control, claims evaluation, and final account settlements.

Prepare clear, commercially focused cost reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure value for money and cost efficiency.

Conduct feasibility studies and lifecycle cost forecasting to support early-stage project decisions.

Drive implementation of cost management best practices, systems, and standards across the organization.

Build strong client and stakeholder relationships through clear, strategic communication.

Perform the foregoing using cost estimation and BIM tools including CostX, DimX, WinQS, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office to enhance benchmarking and cost accuracy.

• Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure value for money and cost efficiency.
• Assisting in compiling feasibility studies by preparing estimates for construction cost.
• Driving implementation of cost management best practices through making use of standardized cost estimating guidelines including Professional Fee Scales, Standard Systems of Measurement, and standard construction contracts including FIDIC and NEC.
• Building strong client and stakeholder relationships through clear, strategic communication.
• Performing the foregoing using cost estimation and BIM tools including CostX, DimX, WinQS, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office to enhance benchmarking and cost accuracy.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirement : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Surveying Management and 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience in the Related Occupation.
