Director of Underwriting

A company is looking for a Director, Supplemental Accounts Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee a team of underwriters and a reporting structure to meet business targets

Collaborate with sales and internal partners to enhance knowledge of Supplemental Health and Life insurance products

Apply underwriting guidelines, analyze complex issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent underwriting leadership experience

Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in leading and developing underwriting teams

At least seven (7) years of experience in group insurance underwriting or a closely related field

Advanced knowledge of risk analysis and underwriting philosophy
