Configuration Technician

On-Site | Monday-Friday, 10 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM

• Position Overview :

The Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment prior to shipment to customers. This includes provisioning, configuring, testing, and validating devices to ensure proper functionality. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to documented processes, and a commitment to quality. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth in the IT industry.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Follow written instructions to provision and configure IT devices for deployment.
• Perform basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
• Unbox, re-box, and process equipment for shipping.
• Clean, test, and inspect IT devices to ensure functionality.
• Escalate technical issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Qualifications :
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience or training preferred.
• Technical certifications are a plus but not required; willingness to pursue certifications within the first year is expected.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, and carrying equipment (approx. 50% of the time).
• Occasional use of basic tools (e.g., screwdriver) and cleaning solutions.
• Ability to tear down and rebuild IT components.
• Proficiency in typing, reading instructions, and communicating effectively.
• Technical Skills :
• Configuration and troubleshooting of IT devices.
• Basic Windows knowledge (Windows 10).
• Experience with hardware peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice).
• Customer service and help desk support fundamentals.
• Documentation and process adherence.

This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50 / hr.
