CNC Operator

Location : Grand Rapids, MI

Pay : $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience

Shift : 7 : 25am to 3 : 55pm

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC lathes or mills, reading blueprints, and performing precision measurements to ensure parts meet specifications. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or other machining centers according to job specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.

Load raw materials and monitor machine operations for accuracy and consistency.

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Make minor adjustments to machine settings or tooling offsets as needed.

Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and reporting issues.

Document production data and complete required quality control paperwork.

Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required; technical training in machining preferred.

Minimum 1 2 years of CNC operating experience (lathe or mill).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
