We are seeking a highly talented PHP Developer with Symfony experience who will be responsible for creating and enhancing our SaaS CMS platform. We are looking for an innovative thinker who is fully committed to web standards and crafting the next big thing on the web. The right candidate will enjoy working with smart people who are changing the CMS landscape. Responsibilities

  • Work within an agile team to develop new CMS features, custom applications and web components
  • Develop new code and maintain existing web applications
  • Work with PHP and Symfony using the latest tools and technologies
  • Understand and effectively communicate CMS features and limitations with regard to design and development decisions
  • Collaborate in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
  • Work closely with project management to successfully deliver on schedule
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions
  • Write clean and fully documented code
  • Bring innovative ideas and solve complex technology problems
  • Introduce the latest technologies and influence code development methodologies

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in PHP / MySQL development
  • 2+ years experience with PHP 7+ and Symfony 3+
  • Great problem-solving skills and independent work ethics
  • Professional experience building scalable web applications
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Experience with SQL queries, MySQL, and database design
  • Working understanding of Git and common SCM platforms (e.g. BitBucket, Github, GitLab)
  • Experience with Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS
  • Portfolio of existing work demonstrating clean and compliant code
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with our development, creative and project management teams
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
  • Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously while focusing on the task at hand
  • Must be well-spoken, friendly, respectful, organized and efficient
  • Desire to grow technical skill set into new areas as our technology evolves

    • Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in React and / or other modern front-end web frameworks (Angular, Vue, Node)
  • Deep proficiency in SQL and other popular RDBMSes (Postgres, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience with other PHP frameworks, such as Slim
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Redis, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Neo4J, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, Lambda, Cognito, Dynamo, IoT)
  • Experience in software industries with agile methodology
