License : WV or Compact RN license - pending license acceptable. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI required. Must-Have : Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility to submit. Certification must be via the American Heart Association. Candidates must be able to float within their scope to meet facility needs if needed. Weekend coverage required every other weekend. Candidates should state their vaccine status upon submission. Medical exemptions for vaccines will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Description : Emergency Department RN needed for a 3x12 hour night shift. The role involves working with a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics. Patient ratios are 4 : 1. The RN will be required to float within the facility as needed. The emergency department has a high volume of psychiatric patients, with no separate psychiatric area. Familiarity with high acuity patients is essential. Clinical skills such as IV starts, telemetry, and management of acute emergencies are required. Travelers accepted if they meet the experience requirements. Candidates should have the ability to handle various acute situations, including trauma and psychiatric emergencies. Documentation of any previous probationary actions on the license will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This position will require adherence to infection control protocols and management of patients in a high-stress environment. The nurse is expected to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while working in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
