We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for over 100 employees on a semi-monthly basis using Paylocity. The position involves managing a mix of hourly and exempt employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and delivering exceptional service to our team members.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for 100+ employees using Paylocity.
• Maintain accurate employee records, including timekeeping, deductions, and benefits.
• Review and validate timesheets for hourly employees and salary data for exempt staff.
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, and special payments as needed.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and related issues.
• Generate and review payroll reports for accuracy and provide them to management.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position requiring 8 hours a day, with flexible start and end times between 7 am and 6 pm. The company offers a family-owned atmosphere with good benefits once onboarded. There is a high track record of hires converting to permanent roles, with extended training and growth potential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocklin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
