Senior Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic and fast‑paced Accounting + Finance team. The role is permanent, full‑time, and offers tremendous growth and learning opportunities.
Location : New Orleans, LA
Salary : $130,000 – $165,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Lead the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organization’s financial goals.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax issues and changes in tax legislation, providing recommendations as necessary.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and payments.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
- Monitor and manage tax risk and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.Extensive knowledge and experience with S Corp, Tax Returns, and Corporations.Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and reporting requirements.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex tax information to non‑tax professionals.Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work.About Us
