If you are a talented and experienced Production Material Controller, David Aplin Group has the right opportunity for you! Our client is looking for someone who will be coordinating and expediting the workflow and material to production according to the requirements of project schedules, maintaining the required traceability, and the prompt settlement of quality problems.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity, with the potential for conversion to a permanent full-time role, and is available to candidates in Montreal, QC.

Responsibilities :
Release production orders as per schedulePrepare and prioritize kits & re-kit and update the status for production meetingsEnsure parts are kitted and / or available on the floor as per the manufacturing needsIdentify and publish production material shortagesExpedite internally critical material and tooling items to ensure the AI&T plan is respectedFollow-up on activities in different work centers (incoming inspection, surface finish, inter-departmental, tollgate, and test) work and provide prioritiesManage material as per KanbanEnsure bulk material availabilityEnsure transactions are organized and reflect activitiesImplement changes as per ECN, NCR, etc.Support traceability requirements (tollgates, ECN implementation, etc.)Follow-up of NCR, MRB on material and assembliesEnsure completion of contract deliverables and production order closures in ERPPrepare shipping papersProvide reports and reviews as per program requirementSuggest improvement opportunities for material flowCan provide functional guidance to less experienced personnelQualifications :
Bachelors in any business-related area4+ years of relevant experience in material / production planning environment. A combination of other education / experience will also be consideredBilingual in French and English (verbal & written)A security clearance will be required from the successful candidateExcellent knowledge of the Office suiteGood understanding of product nomenclature notions, planning concepts, and one ERP systemAbility to problem-solve and decision makingStrong analytical and communication skillsCustomer focus (internal and external)Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changesCapacity to handle documentation and detailed data accuratelyMay have to support various work shiftsJob ID : AW53048622
