Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a MA RN license, 2 years of PICU experience, and PALS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within an acute care hospital
  • Care for infants, children, and adolescents with critical and complex medical needs
  • Facility is Magnet recognized, Trauma Level I, and features a NICU Level III / IV
  • Uses EPIC for charting
  • 4x12 hour night shifts (19 : 00–7 : 30), with alternating day and night shifts available
  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating to other ICUs may be required as needed
  • Locals accepted with a rate differential for those within 50 miles of the facility
  • Responsible for delivering specialized critical care to pediatric patients
  • Must wear any solid-colored scrubs except in areas where specifics are indicated
  • Discounted off-site day parking and free night shift parking available with shuttle service provided
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
  • Part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment

    • Requirements

  • Current and active MA RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience
  • Current PALS and BLS certifications required
  • Prior travel nursing experience in PICU is required
  • Experience using EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
