Job Description

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Shift in Granite City, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain highly visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate with professionalism. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related needs and support the operational requirements of the facility.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during patrols and shift assignments.
  • Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to help to deter unwanted behaviors and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
