Job Description :

Reporting directly to the Corporate Tax Manager, this role is responsible for preparing and reporting corporate income tax obligations across federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions. Additionally, the Tax Analyst position will include various project opportunities and exposure to a wide range of tax areas - including compliance, research, planning, and matters involving the family office related to Rite-Hite.

This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn, proactive in meeting deadlines, and excited to contribute to a growing department. The work requires a solid understanding of income tax regulations and reporting standards, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across various finance functions. The role requires applying strong technical tax knowledge while supporting department initiatives.

This is a hybrid position out of our Milwaukee, WI corporate office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Prepares US federal, state, & local income tax returns for all corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts.
• Prepares federal, state, and local extensions and estimates for all entities.
• Prepares & organizes workpapers for international income tax returns.
• Prepares correspondence to tax authorities regarding notices or other requests, amended returns, etc.
• Understands tax and accounting concepts to perform tax computations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Investigates tax notice & compliance matters to determine their nature and scope, and presents suggestions or questions to facilitate resolution.
• Organizes and maintains tax work papers, filing records, and relevant correspondence.
• Analyzes tax issues to determine nature, scope, impact, and appropriate resolution.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline and enhance existing processes, contributing to a continuous improvement mindset across the tax function and leveraging process automation and artificial intelligence (AI) wherever possible.
• Stays current on legislative changes and technology solutions, applying updates to tax process, planning and compliance.
• Collaborates with colleagues across the tax and accounting departments to support special projects and research initiatives, including opportunities related to the family office.

Qualifications & Skills we are looking for in this role include :

Education and / or Experience :

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university is required. 1 to 2 years of related tax experience is preferred. Strong proficiency with tax preparation and research software, and Microsoft Office products is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
