WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike seeks a Designer for Retail Store Design : An innovator who will support and develop consumer led retail concepts and the evolution of the Nike retail business. A strategic collaborative and creative team leader who will develop impactful / scalable design solutions for immersive retail environments and experiences. Always looking to expand the possibilities of immersive environments to create design solutions that reflect Nikes design ethos and improve the consumer retail experience. You have a track record of innovative use of emerging technology to build impactful spaces consumer engagement and interaction. You are able to work across several design subject areas such as Architecture Fixtures Materials and Digital with ease. You are able to ideate creative concepts illustrate your ideas and be hands on as you lead projects to completion.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Evolve retail concepts and stores support enhanced product presentation and service engagement aligning with global concepts creative direction
  • Elevate and strengthen premium and purposeful storytelling across retail consumer touch points. Define pilot perfect and scale design solutions.
  • Lead projects project teams and agencies establish direction and advance projects by others on a per project basis.
  • Collaborate with peers design counterparts and partner groups to ensure project design continuity across all areas of focus.
  • Leverage design processes and practices to ensure design results timelines and budgets are met.
  • Communicate and present design concepts to team / Design Director / Sr Creative Director and builds presentation materials that effectively communicate design intent. Ability to effectively elevate concerns to Sr Store Design Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
  • You may travel 5 15% of the time.

    • WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

    Under the direction of APLA Sr Store Design Manager you will develop and realize innovative original retail environments and programs that reflect Nikes design ethos and improve the consumer retail experience. You will collaborate with the other designers multi-disciplinary across Nike and external design teams to complete multiple projects by using design processes and practices to ensure the creative intent design results timelines and budgets are met.

    WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in design. International experience beneficial.
  • Bachelors degree in architectural interior design environmental design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of design processes and computer systems (AutoCad Adobe Creative Suite SketchUp Enscape). Ability to sketch design ideas and visually communicate concept development thoughts ideation.
  • Retail industry experience preferred; retail environments concepts and programs. Knowledge of store environments and their consumer impact.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including meeting facilitation and presentations. Proven ability to effectively communicate complex and / or sensitive topics and concepts to senior leadership team.
  • Ability to source screen and manage contractors / external vendors including design and production studios / agencies across multiple territories.
  • Proven ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams functions territories and global.

    • Self-starter ability to take initiative can work without supervision and advance projects independently on brand and achieving concept goals.
