We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Lead to join our team in Rockford, Illinois. This contract-to-permanent position requires a proactive individual who is well-versed in managing complex accounts receivable processes and can serve as a knowledgeable resource for the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of business-to-business accounts receivable operations.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the accounts receivable aging process across multiple branches.
• Provide training and guidance to administrative staff at various branch locations to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Take the lead on accounts receivable projects, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Assist with month-end responsibilities, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Serve as a point of contact for team members, answering questions and providing support during peak periods or staff absences.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline billing and cash application processes.
• Monitor and manage cash collections, ensuring timely payments from clients.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP to support daily operations and reporting needs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business-to-business accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and commercial collections.
• Strong knowledge of billing, cash applications, and cash collections processes.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively train and mentor team members.
• Strong communication skills to interact with branches and resolve issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines during busy periods.
