Position Summary :
- The Director of Budget and Financial Systems manages the budget and financial systems at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust (the “Trust”).
- This includes process improvement, finance project management, and training users on financial procedures and systems.
- The primary focus is on financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and optimizing system usage and training.
- The role also involves overseeing enterprise risk management and insurance.
- Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance and Controller, this director provides leadership in financial management across all the PCT departments.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required :
Education : A bachelor’s degree is required.Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in accounting, business management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Work Experience :
At least four years of non-profit finance experience required.Supervisory Experience :
Requires one to two years of overseeing others in a finance setting.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.Experience with or implementing accounting software in a non-profit environment is necessary.Understanding financial reporting requirements and workflows is required.Familiarity with Sage Intacct and Yooz software, or similar systems, is preferred.Intangibles :

Main job responsibilities : Direct the development, monitoring, and reporting of PCT’s operating budget.Assess and enhance financial systems and workflows.Oversee training for internal users of financial software.Design just-in-time, as well as monthly, internal reports and deploy budget monitoring tools throughout the Trust.Collaborate with the Director of Data Strategy and Analytics to report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs).Support and implement board-level planning and monitoring of budget reports.Serve as the main contact for Sage Intacct and Yooz software implementations at the Trust.Assist department leaders in developing their sections of the annual budget and support the CFO throughout the budgeting process.Supervise the Finance and Risk Manager and provide backup for all Finance department functions.Show commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion through ongoing learning, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.Complete special assignments from the CFO and other duties as required.Supervisory responsibility :

Regularly provides reports to Trust leadership and submits special reports to management as needed.Travel requirements :
