Licensed Psychiatrist-Full Time

What you will be doing :

• Providing ongoing psychiatric care to adolescent residents with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Performing routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment recommendations.
• Coordinating care before and during admission and post-discharge.
• Communicating with parents / guardians and educating clients on a weekly basis.
• Attending weekly treatment team meetings.
• Serving as a liaison with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members.
• Assessing and screening patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing.
• Developing a treatment plan, measuring progress against the plan, and making adjustments as needed.
• Coordinating and communicating with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care.
• Completing all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collaborating with a broader team of physicians, therapists, nurses, etc. to assess and adjust treatment plans.
