License Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides specialized and individual nursing care to assigned people under the guidance of the Nurse Case Manager / Delegating Nurse (RN). The LPN will work cooperatively with the Regional Manager and direct support professionals to meet the needs of those served. The LPN's goal is to promote independence and community inclusion for those they support. The LPN must meet the qualifications of a direct support professional and complete all trainings. This is an essential position, and the LPN may not leave their shift until appropriate coverage has relieved them.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical nursing skills, experience working with people with disabilities, and the ability to provide person-centered care in a community living setting. They should demonstrate excellent communication and documentation skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to balance medical needs with promoting independence and dignity. Flexibility, problem-solving, and collaboration are key, as the LPN will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure each person receives the highest quality of care. Compassion, patience, and professionalism are essential in building trust with the people supported and their families.

This position requires a current State of Maryland LPN license from the Board of Nursing and a minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services for people with disabilities or related disabilities.
