Position Summary

The School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full time Registered Dental Hygienist . UB Dental is a vital part of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. As a teaching facility, we offer our dental students the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages. In addition, we are a safety net for the Buffalo-Niagara region, providing dental care for thousands of people each year throughout the community.

Job responsibilities include :

  • Perform preventive and therapeutic treatment and instruction of General Dentistry patients in oral self-care techniques
  • Deliver appropriate, efficient and effective patient-centered treatment on average of 6 to 10 patients per day
  • Provide patient education
  • Recognize the need for further professional consultation and possible referral
  • Conduct administrative / operational tasks
  • Instruct and demonstrate clinical procedures to students

Work Hours : Monday - Friday

8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • NYS Registered Dental Hygienist

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • Excellent communication skills, experience working with diverse populations
  • Attention to detail
  • At least five years of experience
  • Experience with hybrids and implants

    • Physical Demands

    Salary Range

    $55,000 - $64,000

    Additional Salary Information

    Geographic pay differential in addition to your base salary. The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting.
