$25–$35 per hour (Based on experience and course taught)

California Dental Educators is an approved provider by the Dental Board of California, offering hands-on, in-person training courses to help dental assistants earn certifications and advance their careers. Our mission is to empower dental professionals with the skills, confidence, and credentials they need to succeed.
We are currently seeking experienced, motivated, and dependable dental professionals to join our team of part-time instructors. If you’re passionate about education and mentorship, we want to hear from you!
Courses You May Teach
Depending on your qualifications and availability, instructors may teach one or more of the following :
- 8-Hour Infection Control
- Radiation Safety
- Coronal Polishing
- Pit and Fissure Sealants
- Orthodontic Assistant (OA)
- General Chairside Assisting
Responsibilities
Deliver Dental Board-approved course content in a professional, engaging, and student-centered mannerSupervise students during lab, pre-clinical, and clinical activitiesEnsure compliance with all safety and infection control standardsEvaluate student performance through practical assessments and examsMaintain accurate student records, including attendance, evaluations, and exam resultsProvide timely, supportive communication and feedback to studentsCollaborate with course directors and staff to ensure smooth course deliveryQualifications
Required :
Current and active California RDA license held for at least 2 yearsValid Pit and Fissure Sealant CertificateAt least 2 years of recent chairside dental assisting experienceCurrent BLS certificationInstructional knowledge of :8-Hour Infection Control
Coronal PolishingRadiation SafetyPit and Fissure SealantsOrthodontic AssistingGeneral Chairside AssistingStrong communication and organizational skillsComfortable with hands-on, lab-based instructionPassion for teaching and mentoring future dental professionalsPreferred :
