Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a Clinical Coordinator to provide professional assistance in directing, planning, coordinating and evaluating nursing care and delivery of patient care for the Inpatient, PACU, and EPACU Departments. Hours : This full-time position will work Monday - Friday, 6 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm. There is an on-call requirement but no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
- The Nurse Clinical Coordinator provides leadership, direction and clinical support to nursing staff to promote quality patient care and a safe work environment.
- The successful leader will monitor staff performance, attendance / tardiness, and professional work environment with a team approach.
- In this position, you'll be responsible for supervising orientation of new staff, educating staff on policies and procedures and always look for performance improvement opportunities.
- The Clinical Coordinates and supervises the care of patients and collaborates with other members of the health care team to plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate interventions.
- Assists in planning, evaluating, organizing, supervising and implementing activities related to patient and operational processes in accordance to unit / hospital policies and procedures.
- Assists with coordination, supervision, assessment, and evaluation of staff performance, Joint Commission (TJC) readiness and emergency preparedness.
- Develops, implements, and continually monitors the infection control policies and procedures for all departments.
- Implements an on-going surveillance system for detecting and monitoring hospital-acquired and community infections; ensures compliance to regulatory requirements.

Required :
BSN degree or in processMissouri RN LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 12 months)One year clinical nursing experiencePreferred :
One year PACU experienceCharge RN or education coordinator experience
