Job Title : Shipping Clerk
Job Summary :
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of products. This role supports warehouse operations through documentation, inventory handling, and communication with carriers. Forklift experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and process shipping documents including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels
- Verify orders, quantities, and product condition prior to shipment
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory systems
- Load and unload shipments as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams regarding shipment status
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentDomestic & International Shipping experiencePrevious experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferredBasic computer skills and experience with shipping or inventory systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferred Qualifications (Plus) :
Forklift experience and / or forklift certificationExperience with RF scanners or warehouse management systemsKnowledge of common shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight)Work Environment :
Warehouse or distribution center settingMay require overtime or flexible scheduling during peak periodsDetails :
Pay rate is between $20-$24 an hour.Schedule is 6am to 2 : 30pm M-F (OT opportunities)Meet Your Recruiter
