Electrician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Install, repair, and service electrical systems.

Source or fabricate replacement electrical components.

Interpret blueprints and carry out work accordingly, with knowledge of the NEC.

Guide and oversee other electricians as necessary.

Obtain required equipment, tools, and materials for projects.

Test and troubleshoot electrical systems.

Provide assistance during emergencies.

Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports.

Education / Experience / Skills :

High School Diploma / GED; Associate degree in an Electrical or related field preferred.

Minimum of 6 years in commercial electrical work (experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus).

Journeyman Electrician License is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base. We are a performance based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employee’s productivity and overall performance.

Compensation & Benefits :

• Salary Range :  $38.00 - $50.00 per hourCompensation is based on : Relevant experience in critical infrastructure sectorsTechnical knowledge and certifications

Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days (first year is pro-rated based on start date)

Work Conditions

The technician may be required to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, high humidity, etc.)

Frequently work near moving mechanical parts

Physical Demands :

Lifting and carrying heavy objects, up to 75lbs, will be required

Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, stairs, ramps and the like using feet / legs and / or hands / arms

Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s)

Pushing / pulling may involve use of hands / arms, feet / legs, and / or feet only done with one side of the body or both sides

Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet to enter restricted spaces

Occasionally, using one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment

Clarity of vision and color vision are both required (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers

Sitting / Driving for long periods is frequently required
