The Williston Northampton Childrens Center strives to provide a stimulating, nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children from infant to age 5 years of age. Children and families that attend our center come from both the Williston Northampton School community as well as the surrounding towns.

We are currently seeking a part-time assistant pre-school teacher, Monday - Friday from 9 : 00 AM-2 : 00 PM beginning January 5, 2026.

Primary responsibilities to include : maintaining the expectations of daily routine & classroom environment; assisting teachers with caring for children in the classroom, on walks, or on the playground; Working effectively in infant, toddler and preschool rooms; Move from one room to another without interruption of routines.

Must be flexible and patient. Must have demonstrated experience in working with children in a group care setting. Must be able to take directions from a variety of people. Must be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be capable of bending, crouching, and / or kneeling to childrens level. Must be able to reach at and above shoulder height to access higher areas of play equipment, etc. Must be capable of frequent changes of position throughout the work shift.
