Job Overview
You'll play a key role in ensuring suppliers meet required quality standards across documentation, processes, and delivered components. The role focuses heavily on FAIR reviews, PPAP submissions, APQP activities, and supplier performance oversight. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to maintain high product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities
Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in alignment with internal and industry standards.
Manage and validate all PPAP documentation including PSW, control plans, capability data, and process flows.
Lead APQP activities for new components and supplier-related changes to ensure readiness and compliance.
Coordinate incoming inspection requirements and resolve nonconformances with supplier teams.
Maintain and update quality documentation, workflows, and engineering data within Windchill.
Conduct supplier root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools.
Track supplier quality metrics, monitor performance trends, and drive improvement initiatives.
Support supplier audits, risk assessments, and periodic evaluations to ensure alignment with quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to reinforce supplier quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with QMS procedures and regulatory or industry requirements across all supplier activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
4 6 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality within medical, aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of PPAP, FAIR, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Six Sigma practices.
Experience with QMS systems, ERP tools, and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
