Job Summary
This role involves performing essential respiratory therapy procedures based on physician directives and departmental protocols. You will work autonomously in both acute and critical care environments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams, while making informed treatment recommendations. The ideal candidate must be adept in treating a diverse patient demographic from infants to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive and does not involve direct management responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligible for licensure in South Carolina. Senior students graduating within three months are also eligible to apply.
Certifications / Registrations
Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligibility for licensure is required. BLS certification is also mandatory. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Candidates hired prior to June 2016 may qualify as Certified Respiratory Therapists. Candidates hired after June 2016 must achieve a passing score on the Registered Therapist exam and complete a Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation; failure to do so may result in termination.
NRP and PALS certifications are required before independently working in NICU and PICU settings.
Preferred Skills and Experience
A strong ability to work within a team, along with effective communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential.
