Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy Unit, you will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Make a meaningful impact in a collaborative environment focused on patient education and support.
Position Requirements
Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution.Current nursing license in the state of Tennessee.Must be available to respond to the hospital within thirty minutes for on-call duties.A minimum of one year of medical / surgical nursing experience.BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.Workplace Experience
Experience in perioperative care is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Capability to stand or work for up to twelve hours a day.Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs with support.Able to transport patients as necessary.Performance Standards
Conduct comprehensive assessments for all patients promptly upon admission.Develop individualized care plans based on identified patient needs and consistent with best practices.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of patient care.Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the care process.Demonstrate independence in managing treatments and following established protocols.Handle, prepare, and administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies.Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.Reassess and modify patient care plans based on evaluations of patient responses.Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.Support staff development and assist in training new employees.Be flexible in staffing and assist in other surgical areas as needed.
