About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will be a key member of the City Manager's Office, responsible for leading the Finance Department and overseeing the City's financial operations. This executive will be tasked with enhancing transparency, guiding long-term fiscal strategies, and ensuring the City's budget of approximately $557 million is managed with excellence and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, relationship-driven financial leader with a deep understanding of municipal finance, a passion for public service, and a proven track record in governmental budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a CPA license, and a minimum of 10 years' municipal finance experience, with at least 5 years in an executive role managing large budgets. The role requires a candidate who is adept at communicating complex financial concepts, experienced in revenue optimization, and committed to fiscal stability and sustainability. A Master's degree, CPFO certification, and experience with large-scale ERP implementations and municipal debt management are preferred. The CFO will work closely with the City Manager, Mayor, City Council, and various boards and partner entities, and must be an exceptional collaborator with strong financial acumen, integrity, and a collaborative leadership style.
