As a Security Officer - Chemical Entry Badge in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and personnel, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, and you will play a key role in supporting a secure and welcoming environment while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and permissions for entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions and directions related to site access and security-related procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or breaches of site protocols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
