A company is looking for a Principal Creditors Rights Counsel to provide legal support and strategic guidance on distressed and non-performing real estate loan assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead legal assessments and restructuring of distressed and non-performing loans, enforcing lender rights under applicable law
Draft, review, and negotiate workout and enforcement documents, including forbearance and loan modification agreements
Coordinate and manage outside counsel in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and litigation matters
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance transactions and loan enforcement matters
Deep understanding of real estate loan documentation and creditors' rights
J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. State Bar
Proven experience managing complex legal matters related to distressed real estate loans
Familiarity with loan servicing and loss mitigation strategies
