The CFO is the Fire Chief's key partner in charting the District's financial future. Your success will be measured not just in compliance, but in the operational capacity you enable :

• Fiscal Transparency and Trust : Ensure transparency and accountability in the management of taxpayer funds, upholding the highest standards of GASB compliance and public confidence.
• Protecting the Protectors : Manage the District's financial policies to create reserves to safeguard the organization from unforeseen fiscal threats.
• Long-Range Readiness : Directly oversee long-term capital forecasting to ensure the timely funding and construction of new fire stations and the procurement of state-of-the-art emergency apparatus.

Strategic Responsibilities : Beyond the Ledger

Reporting directly to the Fire Chief, the Chief Fiscal Officer provides executive-level direction and leadership for the District's entire financial vision. This role requires a leader who is comfortable leveraging finance as a tool for strategic governance and operational enhancement.
