Summary :
The Project Manager is responsible for managing all technical commercial and financial activities for
engineering projects in accordance with the project schedule and budget. This includes directing and
coordinating an engineering design team and / or subcontractor activities in accordance with project / client
procedures scope of work project cost control client / vendor / contractor interface and contract specifications.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with the client for all project-related activities
and communication.
Education / Experience / Key Responsibilities :
- B.S. degree in Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university (Chemical preferred); Other
degrees may be considered based on past project experiences
Minimum five (5) years project management experience in the industrial chemical sector withexperience in consulting preferred
Knowledge of the Stage-Gate (FEL - Front-End Loading) EPC (Engineering Procurement andConstruction) and EPCM (Engineering Procurement and Construction Management) project delivery
methods with strong acumen in the technical commercial and financial aspects of projects
Provide project management of single to multi-disciplined engineering projects and maintainresponsibility for overall execution of work
Responsible for participating in PMO meetings and engaging in the development of best practices inproject management
Establish project schedule and budget and execute and monitor progress in meeting schedule budgetand contractual requirements
Anticipate project staffing needs and provide input to selection of project team membersEstablish objectives and provide performance feedback for project team membersWork collaboratively and build effective relationships internally and with clientsCommunicate effectively across all levels within the organizationAnticipate problems and work with client engineering vendors subcontractors and project team toprovide corrective actions
Act as technical resource for team and actively coach junior engineers and designersCreate concepts and provide options to solve complex process problemsCoordinate feasibility level scope and cost estimates as well as detailed design and project executionPrepare and deliver technical presentations to clients regarding project related itemsLead data gathering design reviews installations checkout / startups and troubleshooting effortsassociated with project work
Proficient in MS Project Word Excel and able to review drawings using various CAD packagesEligibility Requirements :
