Job Description :

We are seeking a Staff Accountant who not only possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles but also demonstrates initiative and a proactive mindset in driving process improvement and financial accuracy (Houston, TX).

Key Responsibilities :

• Accurately prepare and review financial statements, including :
• Balance Sheet : Ability to read and understand its structure and purpose, and how it connects with the Income Statement.
• Income Statement : Comfortable analyzing revenues, expenses, and profitability.
• Cash Flow Statement : Understands the flow of cash through operations, investing, and financing activities.
• Assist with monthly close activities by gathering, validating, and posting journal entries in a timely manner.
• Identify missing or incomplete information in financial data and work with relevant teams to obtain it.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Take ownership of improving accounting processes and finding efficiencies in workflows.
• Actively push and follow up across the organization to meet month-end deadlines and close cycles.
