Medication Aide / Tech
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders
- Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; observe residents for safety and reports any and all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner to LN on duty
- Assisting residents with ADL tasks including but not limited to : assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, serving and assisting with meals, feeding, housekeeping, bed making, and laundry
- Always observe and uphold resident rights; assist residents to and from meals; relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
- Must be willing to work with and provide assistance to other staff from all departments to ensure quality of care for residents
- Documents pertinent information in residents charts and in other specified locations (e.g.; alert charting and incident reports)
- Communicates with physicians, via fax and telephone
- Keep environment safe and clean for residents
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Carry and possess a working knowledge of community communication system and EHR
- Observes for and reports resident problems and reports such problems to supervisor

Must be drug free and submit to urinary analysis drug screening upon hireMust be able to pass criminal background check, health screening including TB testMust be eighteen (18) years oldMaintains current CPR and first aid certificationAbility to read, analyze, and interpret charting standards, physician orders, or administrative regulationsAssisted Living and Memory Care regulations knowledgeAbility to prioritize, organize and delegate assignmentsMust attend required in-services / workshops to further education of skills and community requirementsSuccessful completion of state certified medication aide / tech courseAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard EnglishThe employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior LivingPhysical Demands and Requirements :
