Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A middle school itinerant teacher position is available in Charleston, SC, focusing on supporting students with visual impairments across grades K-12. This contract role offers a stimulating environment within a supportive district dedicated to inclusive education and student success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students throughout K-12.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to develop tailored educational plans.
• Conduct assessments and modify curriculum materials to facilitate access.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and municate regularly with families and educational teams.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences.
