Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesIn keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) functions collaboratively and uses independent judgment to provide high quality care by assuring appropriate staffing on a shift basis or more as indicated by patient acuity and census. Is accountable
for unit operations, supervision, staff development, patient care delivery and clinical outcomes on assigned shifts. Is responsible for providing clinical nursing leadership to unit staff and may provide direct patient care.

- Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.
- Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
- Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.
- Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.
Job RequirementsRequired:
- Registered Nurse with one (1) to two (2) years of work experience.
- Labor & Delivery /Obstetrics experience.
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR- BLS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - NRP certification
- BSN is preferred.
