Job Description

The Senior Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for :

• Strategic Leadership : Setting the strategic direction for assigned manufacturing lines, aligning with company objectives and focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Production Planning : Collaborating with the Production Planner to develop and execute build plans; monitor progress and report status.
• Operational Oversight : Managing daily production activities to ensure on-time delivery; identify delays and implement recovery plans.
• Team Management : Leading and developing manufacturing managers, supervisors, and operators; ensure adequate staffing and training.
• Workforce Development : Building a skilled team capable of meeting performance metrics; maintain accurate training records and ensure timely audits and re-certifications.
• Material & Equipment Management : Tracking raw material consumption, address equipment maintenance issues, and ensure calibration and upkeep of tools and fixtures.
• Facility Standards : Maintaining cleanliness and safety across all manufacturing areas; minimize scrap, labor, and material variances.
• Budget Management : Operating within departmental budgets and ensure adherence to procedures and work instructions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Working with QA, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory Control to resolve production holds, material issues, and quality concerns.
• Quality Assurance : Ensuring all products meet required specifications and support continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing practices.
• PPE Oversight : Managing CER / PPE supplies and ensure proper usage and availability of protective gear (gowns, hairnets, gloves, etc.).

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manufacturing Manager should have the following qualification :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is preferred.
• Experience :

Minimum 10 years in manufacturing.

• 7-9 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Proven leadership in manufacturing operations with a track record of driving performance.
• Strong team management and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and related technologies.
• High sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Effective communication, planning, and organizational skills.
