Job Summary

The Operator is responsible for aiding in the operation of the process equipment machinery evaluation of any process problems and performing product quality testing.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain steady flow of material throughout the facility.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Unload bulk and toted ingredients.
• Load finished products on bulk van and flatbed trailers.
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance on some equipment in process.
• Monitor machinery and product flow; bring all problems to attention of manager.
• Participate in facility housekeeping program.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing manufacturing environment.
• One year of manufacturing industrial or agricultural experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
• Previous experience with feed mill/pellet mill.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
• Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally work at heights.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
