We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
The USTA Foundation is the social impact arm of the USTA, dedicated to using tennis and education to positively transform the lives of youth. The Programs and Services team plays a crucial role in advancing this mission by supporting more than 250 Sports-Based Youth Development organizations nationwide. These organizations leverage the power of tennis to promote academic achievement, character development, and athletic growth.
As an intern, you will gain meaningful hands-on experience by assisting in the coordination and enhancement of career and college readiness programs. You will contribute to designing new initiatives that engage young people in their postsecondary and career pathways. You will also research emerging trends in youth development and education, helping the team shape innovative initiatives that align with the Foundation's mission.
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing career and college readiness programs
Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in youth development, education, and career pathways
Support the creation of materials, resources, and content for various programs and initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen program offerings
Contribute ideas for new programs that engage young people in their college and career journeys
Help manage communication and outreach efforts related to program updates
Program details :
8-week program from June 9 through August 11
Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 9 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM ET
Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Times Square office.
Compensation : $20.00 per hour
Who You Are
Able to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
Open to feedback and eager to learn, with a growth mindset
Strong interest in youth development, education, sports-based programs, or community engagement
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Skilled in research and capable of synthesizing information into actionable insights
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
Passionate about social impact and making a difference in the lives of young people
Previous experience with youth programs, education initiatives, or nonprofit work is a plus but not required
