The Benefits Administrator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining Sierra Peaks’ employee benefits programs via ADP and other vendors. This role ensures benefits are delivered accurately, competitively, and cost-effectively, with attentive support to employees and strong stewardship of company resources. Workload is seasonal—heaviest during annual renewal (~1 month)—and light but detail-sensitive throughout the rest of the year. This role is part-time and in office; hours per week depending on the season and the workload.

- Provide accurate, timely, and compliant administration of all benefit programs.
- Serve as a trusted employee resource for benefit questions and issue resolution.
- Support administration activities related to HR
Core Responsibilities
Update benefits packages as organization needs change.Manage day-to-day administration for all benefit offerings, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and eligibility tracking.Coordinate with external brokers and carriers to ensure accurate setup, renewals, and ongoing plan support.Oversee annual open enrollment planning, communications, and execution, which includes updating employee files, ensuring ADP reflects changes and employee elections are done on-time.Maintain current knowledge of plan details, rules, and employee contributions.Serve as first-line support for benefits inquiries; explain plan options clearly and neutrally.Troubleshoot and work with our broker to issues and follow up claim issues, eligibility discrepancies, billing errors, and carrier portal problems, escalating as needed.Maintain organized, auditable benefits records and plan documentation.Ensure plan materials (summaries, eligibility rules) are up to date and accessible.Support compliance needs related to benefits administration and other HR needs, including required notices, renewal documentation, on-boarding / off-boarding administration, etc.Benefits Programs Administered

2+ years experience in HR or benefits administration (or equivalent hands-on experience).Working knowledge and experience with ADP workforce nowHigh attention to detail and strong follow-through; able to manage sensitive data accurately.Comfortable troubleshooting benefits issues with employees and vendors.Clear, empathetic communicator who can explain benefits to non-experts.Strong organizational habits, especially around renewals, deadlines, and documentation.Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting benefits renewals / open enrollment cycles.Familiarity with HRIS or benefits platforms.Basic understanding of benefits compliance (e.g., eligibility rules, notices), with willingness to learn more.Experience in administration supporting HR and other operationsWork Pattern / Seasonality
