[job_card.job_description]Two years of experience is preferred. Prior college teaching experience is preferred. Willingness to complete teaching methodology training. The successful candidate must have a background in and current knowledge of dental assisting procedures, duties, and a commitment to teaching. The successful candidate must have recent experience in four-handed dentistry principles. The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach in both the traditional face-to-face and blended (hybrid) format. Broward College places special importance on helping under - prepared students achieve academic success.

Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, achievement and persistence; (3) technology competencies as well as teaching / counseling skills and strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies; (4) the use of resources that prepare students for productive lives.
All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and / or weekend hours.
Minimum Education :
- Associate Degree in Dental Assisting or a related field.
- Graduated from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
- Preferred accredited program within the State of Florida or completed expanded functions course recognized by the Florida State board of dentistry.
- Bachelor degree. preferred.
