Property Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a detail-driven property accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. As our property accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and supporting the financial health of our properties. You will :

Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned property portfolio(s), including bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Monitor property cash flow

Review and analyze variances, providing meaningful insights to property managers and leadership

Support budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation process

Monitor lease activity, verifying rent rolls and ensuring compliance with lease terms

Assist with year-end audits and tax-related documentation

Partner closely with operations teams to streamline processes and enhance financial performance

Requirements

What we're looking for :

Experienced : 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within property management, real estate, or a related industry

Technically skilled : Proficient with accounting software, excel-savvy, and comfortable working with large data sets

Analytical & organized : You bring a sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize in a multifaceted role

Collaborative : You communicate clearly and enjoy working with cross-functional teams

Proactive : You take initiative, own your work, and continuously look for ways to improve processes

Education : Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
