Product Specialist

Position

WCF is an A Rated insurance carrier that is growing in the western U.S. and is looking for an applicant that wants to join a company with a great culture, competitive pay, and outstanding benefits. The product development team specifically works on commercial insurance lines such as property, liability, and umbrella and has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a full-time Product Specialist . This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Product Development. The person in this position works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters or one of the regional offices located in Roseville, CA; Boise, ID; or Denver, CO. Hybrid (office / home) or remote option is available. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and build-out of new and enhanced insurance products.
• Interpret and document rating algorithms and coverage language for implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate translation of product requirements into system configurations.
• Support the preparation of policy forms, endorsements, and technical specifications.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform product positioning and design.
• Benchmark coverage offerings, pricing structures, and underwriting guidelines.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments impacting product design.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of product requirements, rating logic, and coverage specifications.
• Assist in the creation of business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and test cases.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance efforts during product rollouts.

Qualifications

The most qualified Product Specialist candidate will have :

Ability to fill position at Senior Product Specialist level depending on experience and qualifications.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

WCF Insurance offers an extensive compensation package. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, company paid life insurance, 401K with a generous 6% employer match and additional benefits such as an Employee Assistance Program and time off to volunteer. All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation their first year. Expected salary for the Product Specialist position is $70,000 - $100,000. Expected salary for the Senior Product Specialist position is $80,000 - $115,000. Salary depends on location , experience , and education .
